ESAF reviews latest

15 December 1998

NGOs’ comments on the findings and recommendations of the ESAF reviews will be published and discussed by the Board soon. The Board will also consider the replenishment of ESAF. With the change in the German government, it now looks likely that IMF gold will be sold to finance ESAF unless more bilateral contributions are forthcoming.

The September deadline for comments has been extended, they should be sent to Bernard Mauprivez, Public Affairs, fax:+202-623-6220; bmauprivez@imf.org.
