A new book examines the privatisation of infrastructure and government services. Starting with neoliberal policies since the 1980s, the book also covers the more recent concepts of partnerships, private finance and Best Value and makes predictions for trends right up to 2020.

By Dexter Whitfield, founder of the Centre for Public Services, UK, the book advocates means to improve global governance, with the aim of improving and sustaining the welfare state using a new model of public service delivery.
