At this year's World Bank/IMF annual meetings in Singapore, 27 accredited civil society representatives were blacklisted by the country's authorities (see page 3). Many more were detained, interrogated and even deported. This, despite NGO concerns raised months in advance about the choice of Singapore as a venue. Such events demonstrate why the Bretton Woods Project - networker, information-provider and watchdog on a UK, European and international level - has a critical role to play. Our work is read by over 10,000 activists, journalists, officials and researchers worldwide.

Our largest foundation supporter has been forced to cut its backing of the Project by 20 per cent in the next period. Therefore, we need your help so that we can continue to provide the same high-quality research and analysis. We know you value our work - we need your support to be able to continue it.
