As per long-standing convention, the first issue of the Bretton Woods Update in the new year will feature 'Bankspeak of the year' - the most incomprehensible or absurd use of words in a World Bank or IMF document or speech. 2009 should elicit many nominations given the resurgence of the IFIs. Also, we will present your list of recommended resources - the best of books, reports and articles written about the work of the Bank and Fund in 2009. Suggestions from readers for both features are requested.
