Site accessibility

We intend this site to be as accessible as possible and are working to improve accessibility in several ways, however aspects of the policy and its implementation are in their early stages so please bear with us.

"Accessibility" divides into several main areas:

• Language of the visitor
• Physical ability of the visitor
• Technical requirements of the visitor's platform

Language

Languages apart from English have not been included with this version of the site. We know.

Technical aspects

We use the tools below, amongst others, to check the code against various standards. Sometimes a choice has to be made between strictly valid code and that which is required to get around browser quirks, and sometimes of course mistakes happen too. This site's designer is committed to reducing these compromises to the minimum.

If any user of this site wishes to make a suggestion or comment - or complaint - please use the feedback page.

At the foot of each page there are links to some of the following validation services. While these tools are initially intended for the site managers' use they are also provided so that users can check pages for themselves.

In many cases validation will fail, but hopefully not disastrously. Some of the reasons this might happen are:

• Links imported from another site are not encoded in a manner the validator likes
• There are some aspects of the ActionApps database which are not easily changed to produce code which will validate
• Someone manually entering tags suffered finger trouble
• The site's designer is a human
