The Bretton Woods Project needs your support. Please consider making a donation in order to enable us to continue to provide the same high-quality research and analysis. Through briefings, reports and the Update, we provide timely and crucial information on a wide range of issues relating to the World Bank and IMF. Our work is read by over 10,000 activists, journalists, officials and researchers worldwide.

The information we produce on reform of the World Bank and IMF has always been free. Please help us to keep it that way.

A donation of £25 (approx $50 US dollars) could pay for an annual subscription to the Bretton Woods Update for a Southern organisation. Larger donations will help support our core costs.

Just two examples of the Project's many achievements over the last year:

• We have continued to play a leading role in the campaign to pressure the World Bank to phase out its funding for harmful fossil fuels and massively scale up its support for clean and renewable energy sources for poor people. Our activities have included events at the World Bank spring and annual meetings and collaborating with the UK parliament. This has resulted in key statements by both UK opposition parties and a cross-party resolution.
• We have continued to lead the global call for an end to the democratic deficit at the IMF, which currently gives 129 developing countries a mere 31 per cent of the vote despite accounting for 70 per cent of the membership. This campaign won a commitment by the new IMF managing director Dominique Strauss-Khan to adopt a more equitable voting system at the IMF board.
