Both ENDS and the Bretton Woods Project co-organised a roundtable meeting in early March to discuss the World Bank and IMF‘s core economic models. Participants were all concerned that the Fund and Bank’s core mental and computer models have resisted change despite their plethora of new announcements and initiatives.
A pack of papers, key debates and further reading materials is being prepared for circulation in April to galvanise the NGO community to examine whether they are legitimising or challenging these fundamental aspects of the institutions.
