The Bank is about to start a review of information disclosure. Details will be confirmed at a meeting of the Bank Board’s Committee on Development Effectiveness in October.
It is understood that the review will be limited to IBRD and IDA, but will involve lots of departments within them. It will assess how to improve information dissemination, how to retrofit the policy to the newly public documents since the information policy was introduced in 1994, such as the CAS, and how to tackle the thorny issue of “leaked” documents.
