The World Bank and the European Policy Centre have launched a new series of “Advanced International Policy Seminars on poverty and sustainable development”. The first, on “Trade and Poverty” was addressed by Pascal Lamy, EU Commissioner for Trade, Gun-Britt Andersson, Swedish State Secretary for Development Cooperation, and Kemal Dervis of the World Bank.
Seminars later this year will cover: good governance and anti-corruption, international governance mechanisms, and conflict prevention: the economic dimension.
