The Alternative Information and Development Centre (AIDC), based in Cape Town, South Africa, has launched a newsletter to monitor the World Bank and IMF activities in Southern Africa. In its first issue, it says it aims to keep NGOs, community leaders, trade unionists, environmentalists, progressive people of faith, women’s movement activists, the radical youth, and any other critics of neoliberalism aware of World Bank and IMF activities and the effects of its involvement in the region.
