The World Bank’s major annual European conference on development policy issues will take place in Oslo, Norway from 24-26 June. The main conference will cover trade, migration, weak states and institutions and the political economy of financial crises. Workshops will consider many more topics, including foreign direct investment, corruption control and Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers. Speakers include former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo, Murasoli Maran, the Indian Minister of Commerce, Barbara Stocking, Director of Oxfam and World Bank Chief Economist Nick Stern.
