The Evian Group held its annual meeting in Montreux, Switzerland, last month inviting a select group of business executives, policy makers, academics and opinion makers. Notable invitees were Nick Stern, Chief Economist of the World Bank, and Pascal Lamy, EC Trade Commissioner. Funding comes from participating TNCs, the EC and the Swiss Federal Government. Perhaps not surprisingly the Chair of the Evian Council is held by a Vice-President of Nestle, Michael Garrett.
