Please read these instructions very carefully. We are a small organisation – following these instructions will help us to process your application efficiently – many thanks!

Send applications by e-mail only to: Please format the subject line as “Application: Coordinator“.

  • With each application please attach three different documents to your email: a 2 page cover letter, a 2 page CV and a writing sample. Please read the guidance below.
  • Attachments must be in one of the following formats: PDF, Microsoft Word, Rich Text File, or Open Office document.
  • Please give the attachments the following names: Your last name – CL, Your last name – CV, Your last name – WS. So if Jane Doe applied for a job we would expect attachments with the following names: Doe – CL, Doe – CV, and Doe – WS.
  • Please also send proof of your right to work in the UK

Cover letter – the cover letter should, in two pages or less, answer the following questions:

  • Give an example of a major strategic dilemma you have faced in your work (ideally one on a global policy issue), describe how you dealt with it and what lessons you learned.
  • Why do you consider your management experience and style would enable you to run the Bretton Woods Project?

CV – Please send a CV of no more than two pages and please do not include non-relevant personal details such as age, gender, marital status or ethnicity. Please ensure you send the file with the file name Your last name – CV.

Writing sample – Please send a piece of relevant written work of less than 2,000 words. The written work could be an article, an essay, something you produced for a previous employer, or as a last resort an extract of a longer paper. It should be entirely written by you with preferably no substantive editing by another person. We will use it to assess your ability to write clearly and present a coherent argument, not to test your knowledge. Please ensure you send the file with the file name Your last name – WS.
