In an effort to publish more information on trust funds the Bank launched a new website containing  datasets on the funds in March. However Freedominfo.org (a virtual network) monitoring International Financial and Trade Institutions (IFTI Watch) reported in June that much is still to be done in order to make the funds transparent. According to Freedominfo.org, the datasets are helpful “for determined researchers, but are not reader-friendly places for those looking for basic information on trust fund operations”. Freedominfo.org also found that information is incomplete on projects with relatively small funding. It says that the Bank is planning to make its forthcoming directory of trust funds-supported programmes searchable and provide more material on specific projects. This is expected to be published in 2014.
